Our first meeting in the new venue went off very well. Despite the gloomy and wet weather, a good number of members managed to turn out to welcome Dr Allie Pino and her fascinating - and (en)grossing - talk on food and horror in films: Frankenstein's monster was vegan; the significance of pizza being ordered in or the emptiness of kitchen work surfaces, and just what does it mean when young women start eating raw or just cooked meat? Needless to say, there was much animated discussion afterwards.
The space worked well, and we must thank Jenny and Alex for being on hand.
The next meeting will be our AGM plus seasonal, or not, crafting - see you there!
