Calling all swash bucklers of the GVWI!
On the 20th July we’ll be looking at historical fencing with Steph Holt. Steph has been training in martial arts for about 20 years, and for the last 9 of those has been training with The 1595 Club, a martial arts club which primarily focuses on exploring the work of an Italian fencing master Vincentio Saviolo We’ll look at how swords, and fencing, evolved over time from the earliest extant manuscript I.33 (which dates from 1290) to the some of the last historical fencing manuals at the start of the 20th Century and there will be a chance for everyone who wants to, to have a go too!
