Gothic Valley WI turned two on the 13th of March! We celebrated in the style we know best, with cakes, crafting and great company. We had three member-run activity stations which were a hit with everyone: gothic origami, arm knitting and fabric flower making.

Gothic origami was led by Catherine and included one of our non-traditional favourites – bats. Fabric flower techniques were shared by Yvette and should prove useful for a variety of future projects for all members. The arm knitting, taught by Elin, was a great hit once we got past the trial and error; even a few non-knitters had a fantastic looking scarf! It was a very chilled out meeting and a great chance to chat to our oldest and our newest members.

Happy birthday Gothic Valley WI, here’s to many more!
